quincy_river_2Quincy Davis bio:
American music / video producer, rap artist and educator who has been developing his craft for over 8 years and released his first album Soul Minor PerMission to Shine in 2013, which began the pursuit of his independent music career. He released his second project in 2016, called Remedy, which was inspired by visiting youth lockdown facilities as a speaker and workshop leader. He grew up with a love for hip-hop, making beats and freestyling with friends in high school. Through trials and tribulations, Quincy walked away from a self-destructive lifestyle that nearly took his life. He says, “I chose the name Remedy for my latest project because music has been my medicine to transform energy of the past into manifesting a new dream.” Quincy has been profoundly influenced by the teachings of indigenous wisdom-keepers and is a dedicated practitioner of earth-based ceremonies.
