We are supporters of the slow food movement and its objectives are also our principles in everyday life. We consider ourselves lucky, because we had the chance to learn from the locals around the mountains how to prepare traditional and regional cuisines.
We make our own cheese and cream from fresh milk from the neighbors, we bake sourdough bread, and we make various kinds of preserves, jams and sirups. We have our annual zakuska canning day. We also love our infused oils and homemade cider vinegar spiced with herbs from the garden. We like sharing our healthy food to show that the right diet can contribute to balance and happiness. We hope that by coming to our place you can have a glimpse into the lore of food and try the beauty of slowing down and savoring the taste of nature.
